Sun 25th Nov Finally succumbed & had a Flake today, it's not so easy to look hot eating crumbly chocolate as that French girl in the ad makes it seem. With bits of chocolate stuck to my face, accidentally rubbing shards of it into my jeans while trying to brush it off, I'm not sure I'm the right guy to cover that tune after all. Guess it's the end of the week now. No new video today so here's one I haven't uploaded since we made it a few months ago: |
Sun 25th Nov Feeling very tense all the time, I reckon it's due to a massive decrease in alcohol consumption but could just be that I'm becoming an intolerant recluse.. again. In any case, I'm getting a lot of work done, these recent videos are just live demo versions of forthcoming tracks, it's useful to see & hear them in a stripped down sense to avoid the pitfall of adding unnecessary layers. Not my favourite band of all time just yet, but here's a very good free release from Robot Princess: |

Mon 19th Nov Er so yeah, instead of recording something we can actually play, I spent the evening with Eddie working out insane harmonies for the Flake song & then recording this ill-advised version of a classic Nirvana tune. The best thing about this video is probably my t-shirt, and the piano, but you're getting it anyway: |
Sun 18th Nov I can't stop thinking about those Flake adverts, and how the music evolved over the decades. It's beautiful! The only downside is that now I'm suffering mad chocolate cravings. Another sunshiny morning, gonna try recording another song today. Jet Tea is off to some 3 day restaurant madness & I've got a few weeks until I start my secret new job, so today is a good day for it. There's a Clara Day cover we've been playing at recent shows & could do for ya, or maybe a tune from forthcoming 7 Love Rivals? You know a cover of that Flake song is inevitable now don'tcha. |
