Wed 31st Oct, 2012 It's 3:32am on my Halloween birthday, it's full moon, and I wanna write something now 'cos tomorrow is gonna be hectic & I won't have a chance. It's been a year & a half alright, well, ok it's been exactly a year, but it feels like so much more time has passed since that three day party in Berlin with the gang, featuring Lars' speech about paradise's prototypes & heaven knows what else. Not many photos taken of me since this one, 365 days old: 
And you know what, I feel great, but also overwhelmed by the amazing people I'm honoured to be sharing these times with. Some of you have fucked right off to someplace else, as have I, and I don't see a few of you from year to year, but.. argh, I dunno. I miss you & the world goes round. Sometimes it spins backwards. Happy Halloween, have one too many beers for me. I will be popping back to Berlin for a visit next week, but for now it's all about London. Must have listened to a hundred 'up & coming' bands this week, in search of something special for Velouria, and it was quite dispiriting at times.. very, very many dull acts out there with no spirit or originality, but I kept the flashlight on & found some curious sounds dartling in the dearth, and I'll be sharing those flickering figures with you very soon. That bloke has stolen tons of my ideas in the past! Then there was Weezer doing Trainwrecks with the lyric "It's the story of our lives we are trainwrecks" years after my album with a near identical title. Sun 28th Oct, 2012 The unofficial Velouria warm up night was a huge success, but I'm struggling to find a band good enough to play the opening night at Aces & Eights.. I honestly reckon that all the decent bands have given up on the London live scene as I had done in the past, due to greedy promoters & ignorant audiences.. but we want to change that, so come out of hiding London, I know you're in there :p |

Tue 23rd Oct, 2012 It's gonna be Velouria week until the opening night on Tue 6th Nov, so get comfortable. 7 Love Rivals will be the next Tea Tone release, the latest in my ongoing project to create a single work made up of 36 interwoven character portraits.
